Employee Interview

  • We Asked Our Sales Team!

1.“When do you feel a sense of accomplishment in your work?”
I feel a strong sense of accomplishment when I deliver results by thinking from a broad perspective and taking actions based on that. My role as a sales representative handling large sums of money brings significant responsibility but also a greater sense of accomplishment. Especially when my effort to select and coordinate the right manufacturer for my customer resulted in receiving an order. It’s also incredibly rewarding to feel like I'm contributing to society by being involved in the supply of everyday products and valued by our clients.
2.“Is there a project that left a strong impression on you?”
The project that stands out the most is importing an alternative fuel to coal. I found it very rewarding to collaborate with the buyers, suppliers, and logistics companies to establish a delivery scheme and deliver great results. Another memorable experience was successfully achieving a lower purchase price and increasing the profit margin on a repeat order received after over a decade by working closely with the supplier, despite having no relevant data. Both of these cases left a strong impression because it was the teamwork and constant problem-solving that led to success.
3.“Has your perception of sales work changed since joining the company?”
After joining the company, I realized sales work isn’t just about “selling” but requires addressing a wide range of needs. While my previous job focused mainly on domestic sales, I now frequently engage in new projects involving overseas partners. This requires new skills like selecting suppliers and proposing solutions to customers' challenges. Everyday is filled with excitement due to the variety of products I handle and constant learning about new industries and customers, and I truly feel like I’m growing.
4.“Do you have a message for applicants?”
When you hear “JFE,” you might think of steel, but our business extends far beyond that, offering opportunities in domestic and international trade across a wide variety of products. Whether you’re experienced or new to the field, you can feel confident working at JFE because we offer an environment where you can grow, and a culture that values everyone’s opinions. The world is changing rapidly, but let’s collaborate positively and take on this challenge together!
  • We Asked Our Sales Operations Team!

1.“Tell us about your daily tasks and what you pay particular attention to.”
I am primarily responsible for international and domestic order placement, fulfillment, and delivery, as well as trade operations. What I pay particular attention to is maintaining a broad perspective and noticing even the smallest changes. For example, if I spot a change in order quantity, I make sure to share that information with sales representatives so they can take the next steps. I also maintain close communication with them to understand their needs, follow reporting procedures closely to avoid careless mistakes.
2.“What do you find appealing about your work, and when do you feel a sense of accomplishment?”
I find it rewarding that I can gain diverse knowledge by involving in a wide range of tasks and interacting with many people. The fact that it’s not just a daily routine but includes constant learning is what makes the job enjoyable. I feel a great sense of accomplishment when I use my knowledge and skills to deliver products on time or when I can be a reliable contributor through my work.
3.“What do you value when working with your team and other departments?”
When working with my team or other departments, I focus on proactive communication. We facilitate efficient workflow by actively reaching out and creating an environment where it's easy to consult with each other You feel reassured knowing you would receive 100 answers for your single question because there are many colleagues who are willing to help any time. We have a friendly and warm work environment where people easily engage in casual conversations.
4.“Do you have a message for applicants?”
We welcome cheerful, collaborative, energetic, and positive-minded people! Together, we hope to further enhance our positive company atmosphere while fostering our teamwork. Because we offer a work environment where overtime is minimum and taking time off is easy, you can maintain a healthy work-life balance. Let’s enjoy working together!
